Looking out the window on the morning of December 22nd last year I was disappointed that the bright, clear and sunny day I had ordered for the wedding day of my couple Nicola & Fred hadn’t arrived, nevertheless I was excited to be shooting their wedding celebration at the beautiful Offley Place, situated in the glorious Hertfordshire countryside. With extensive parkland surrounding the luxurious venue I knew that the weather was not going to dampen the opportunity to take some gorgeous, natural and relaxed photos that would showcase all the love and happiness my couple have for each other.
My couple had chosen the conservatory for their ceremony which is flooded with light even on the most dreary of days. Surrounded by their family and friends they exchanged vows and even Barclay the dog made an appearance(who doesn’t love to see dogs included in the celebrations?)
Offley Place was decorated in full Christmas glory, roaring fires, huge Christmas trees and garlands of holly and pine cones everywhere. I defy even the most determined Christmas cynic to not feel the spirit of the season when you walk through the doors.
I think Offley Place really is the perfect venue whatever the season, rain or shine as there are so many option for photos but it really does hold a special place in my heart for a Christmassy wedding.
I’d like to thank Nicola and Fred for choosing me to photograph their wedding, it was fabulous.
