The day began at the beautiful All Saints Church in Newmarket, where family and friends gathered to celebrate Alice and Sean becoming husband and wife.
There is something wonderfully timeless about a church wedding.
The anticipation as guests arrive.
The music beginning.
The smile exchanged as the bride walks down the aisle.
Sean’s expression as he saw Alice for the first time was one of those moments no amount of posing could ever recreate. These genuine emotions are exactly why I photograph weddings in a documentary style—allowing couples to simply enjoy every moment while I quietly capture the story unfolding around them.
Following a joyful confetti exit, everyone made the short journey to The Manor Barn for the celebrations.

One of the things I noticed immediately was how naturally guests settled into the venue.
Rather than everyone remaining indoors, people naturally spread throughout the courtyard, chatting over drinks while children explored the gardens.
From a photographer’s perspective, this is ideal.

For Alice and Sean, we spent around fifteen minutes wandering through the gardens while their guests enjoyed the evening reception.
No awkward poses.
