As a wedding photographer who enjoys shooting at Braxted Park I’m spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing the backdrop for the couple’s portraits.
Sarah & Michael chose to hold their wedding ceremony in The Orangery. This is a bright and airy, exquisitely decorated room, you have the luxury of a space large enough for family and friends to surround you with their love and an aisle generous enough for the most gorgeous of gowns. The magnificent arched windows and hand-painted frescos bring the beautiful gardens inside, whatever the weather, but Braxted Park has numerous locations where you can hold the ceremony, this also includes an outdoor area, weather permitting of course.
We were lucky that it was a beautiful summers day and the walled garden is a great place for the drinks reception. On the way to the walled garden is a gravel walkway which could have been created by a wedding photographer as it is perfect place for a confetti tunnel, of course it doesn’t need to be confetti it works equally as well for bubbles and later in the evening some fun and dramatic sparkler shots.
We were lucky that nature gifted us the most gorgeous golden hour and then sunset, the landscape to the west of the venue showed this off beautifully and I was able to capture some truly gorgeous images of Sarah & Michael.
If you didn’t know already, I am a photographer who likes to make sure my couples feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible in front of the camera I do this with the odd rubbish joke, lots of laughter and some light direction.
A huge congratulations to Sarah and Michael on their wedding at Braxted Park. I had such a wonderful day and I’m very much looking forward to being a Braxted Park wedding photographer again soon. Here is just a small selection of photos from their day:
