As a wedding photographer who enjoys shooting at Notley Tythe Barn I’m spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing the backdrop for the couple’s portraits.
Sheena & Dan chose to hold their wedding ceremony in magnificent barn which has beautiful doors leading out into the stunning gardens.
This traditional and elegant barn and gallery provides a space large enough for family and friends to surround you with their love and an aisle generous enough for the most gorgeous of gowns. The magnificent barn is steeped in 350 years worth of history and it was important to the owners that it retained this charm and sense of history when the barn was lovingly restored in the 1990’s.
Not only is Notley Tythe barn a beautiful place to say your vows and celebrate with your family and friends, they also offer a full hosting service so you really don’t have anything to worry about.
The extensive gardens look out over the Chiltern Hills and was re-designed by Steven Hendry a Chelsea Gold Medal winning landscape architect. The gardens are a great place for your cocktail and canapé reception whilst the extended garden area is great for kids to run around and let off some steam. Sheena & Dan chose to have a bouncy castle in this area which was enjoyed by kids and adults alike.
We were lucky that nature gifted us the most gorgeous golden hour and then sunset, the landscape to the surrounding the the venue showed this off beautifully and I was able to capture some truly gorgeous images of Sheena & Dan.
If you didn’t know already, I am a photographer who likes to make sure my couples feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible in front of the camera I do this with the odd rubbish joke, lots of laughter and some light direction.
A huge congratulations to Sheena & Dan on their wedding at Notley Tythe Barn. I had such a wonderful day and I’m very much looking forward to being a Notley Tythe Barn wedding photographer again soon. Here is just a small selection of photos from their day:
