Carrie Anne and George got married at Tewinbury Farm, which is a beautiful barn in Hertfordshire with a view of the river. It was a beautiful, sunny, winters day and I was really happy the the weather played ball!
The Ceremony
The ceremony was touching and the beautiful rustic barn was the perfect backdrop. During the ceremony said their rows with such love on their faces. It was really emotional.
They decorated the area with flowers, which I loved. The reception was in the Tythe barn at Tewinbury Farm – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits. Weddings at Tewinbury Farm are amazing, because the grounds are so beautiful.
Why Tewinbury Farm is a great place to get married
Tewinbury Farm has a really laid-back vibe, and is one of the nicest places to get married in Hertfordshire. The venue offers an onsite hotel so guests don’t have to travel home – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos.
After the Ceremony
The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and a pizza truck in the evening. The DJ set up included pyrotechnics that went off during the first dance. For dinner they had proper wedding grub, and the first dance was a romantic slow dance. They finished off the evening with DJ and Disco to get the dance floor jumping.
The Bride and Groom
Carrie Anne looked absolutely amazing in a traditional white gown which she customised and added sleeves in. George wore his Police Officers Uniform for the ceremony and then changed into a lovely Tweed suit as Police Officers are not allowed to drink alcohol when they’re in uniform.
The couple got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry was really touching. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they just really wanted me there.
Advice for planning your wedding at Tewinbury Farm
The barn is an amazing space, its a blank canvas so you can really make it your own and the space it big but still feels intimate. The space really is a blank canvas so you can decorate it to match the vision you have for your big day.

We had Catherine for our wedding on the 23.01.23 and she was absolutely wonderful. I am so glad we picked her and I would pick her 1000 times over. She is such an amazing lady with such talent and is so friendly and calming. She made our day so comfortable and easy and the photos are amazing!
