South Farm Wedding | Cambridgeshire Wedding Photographer | Catherine Brooks Photography
When it comes to unforgettable weddings, Emma & James’ South Farm wedding in May was truly special. From feeding piglets to golden hour portraits and a dance floor full of energy, their day was bursting with love, laughter, and plenty of fun.
Getting Ready and Morning Moments
The morning was filled with excitement as Emma and her bridal party got ready together, laughter echoing through the rooms while last-minute nerves turned into pure joy. Over with the groomsmen, things were just as lively—fun, relaxed, and full of banter. These candid moments set the tone for a wedding day that was as joyful as it was emotional.
A Ceremony Full of Love
The ceremony at South Farm was every bit as beautiful as the couple themselves. With family and friends gathered, Emma & James said their vows in a setting that perfectly matched their personalities: warm, relaxed, and full of love.
Feeding the Piglets & Garden Drinks Reception
One of the unique highlights of getting married at South Farm? Feeding the piglets! 🐷 Emma & James made the most of this special moment before joining guests in the gardens for their drinks reception. It was the perfect chance to capture natural, candid photos of everyone mingling and enjoying the sunshine.
Fun with the Bridal Party & Groomsmen
After a toast (or two!), it was time for some group photos. Their bridal party and groomsmen brought all the fun, striking poses and keeping the laughter flowing. These moments made for some of the most joyful photos of the day—perfectly reflecting Emma & James’ easy-going, fun-loving vibe.
Glorious Golden Hour Couples Portraits
As the sun dipped lower, we stole away for some golden hour portraits. South Farm’s stunning grounds gave us the perfect backdrop, and the light was just magical. These portraits are the ones that couples treasure forever—the kind that instantly transport you back to the feelings of your wedding day.
Dancing the Night Away
The reception was full of love and energy, with a packed dance floor from the very first song. Guests threw themselves into the celebrations, and Emma & James danced the night away surrounded by family and friends. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
Kind Words from the Couple
Emma & James shared the most wonderful review after their big day:
“We are so pleased that we picked Catherine to capture our wedding day. From the moment we had an initial video call, we knew that Catherine matched our vibe and would be a great addition to our day. She is laid back but willing to take control in the moment, and we were grateful for all of her help on the day – which definitely extended beyond just taking photos! Tim also joined Catherine as a second shooter and he was also great! We have seen 40 preview photos from our day so far, and we were so impressed and grateful to receive these the day after the wedding!! We can’t wait to see the rest. Thank you Catherine for being an absolute star on our big day, we’d pick you again in a heartbeat!”
Hearing such heartfelt words from couples like Emma & James is exactly why I love being a wedding photographer—it’s about so much more than photos.
