Joyful Wedding Photography
Hi, I’m Catherine, a Wedding & Boudoir photographer. If you’re reading this, then you’re going through the nail-biting task of trying to find a photographer for one of the most important days of your life. Luckily, you don’t need to look any further, because you’ve found me.
I’ve been a passionate wedding photographer for a number of years now (even winning a Weddison award!) and getting to capture two people at the beginning of an incredibly exciting chapter of their lives feels like such a privilege. When you work with me, you’re getting someone that genuinely loves everything about their job: from meeting new couples, watching their excitement grow, to seeing them stand in front of their family and friends and declare their love for one another.
When at home in beautiful Bedfordshire, I love spending time with my husband, family & friends and beloved Cockapoo, Huxley. I’m a huge fan of live music (especially rock bands, but have been known to bounce around in a field to drum & bass). I enjoy good company (dogs count), especially when that company comes with great food and a glass of wine. I love to spend as much time by the sea as possible, whether it’s a cold and blowy day or soaking up the sun, I’m not fussed. I also firmly believe that the Geeks will inherit the earth and you can often find me curled up on the sofa watching a good SciFi series or fantasy film, (Stardust is my all time favourite!)
How I work
If you’ve already taken a look at some of the beautiful photos I’ve been able to give to my clients, then you’ll have noticed that at the core of my work (and life) is laughter and having a good time. I try to inject some humour into everything I do. Which is absolutely true for the photographs I take, because let’s be honest, if you’re not smiling and laughing on your wedding day, then something isn’t right. My aim is to make you feel completely at ease and for everyone I work with, I like to make sure that we’re having fun whilst we do it. Which means I won’t be barking orders at you and getting you to pull lots of different shapes, I’ll be helping you, giving you light direction with a smile, but ultimately getting real, authentic and genuine moments on camera. As a Wedding and Boudoir photographer, my focus is always on bringing out the best in people, so that their best can shine through in the photos I deliver to them. I’ll take a mixture of photos including the more traditional couple’s portraits and group shots, as well as the candid and detail-oriented pictures that help you to remember the full story of your magical day. I’m not into the latest and ever-changing trends: I’m into giving you timeless, genuine and truly heartfelt images that transport you back to a day when you were surrounded by love, a few tears, and lots of laughs. And whether you’re brimming with ideas on how you want your photos to look, or feeling a little unsure, I’m more than happy to offer my expert advice before and on the big day.
